About EPAK

The East Palo Alto Kids Foundation (EPAK) is focused on narrowing the equality gap in eastern Menlo Park and East Palo Alto schools by providing microgrants directly to teachers.

We trust the experts to know what to do…that’s why we invest in teachers. By providing grants directly to teachers, we’re helping them improve the educational experience of their students.

EPAK Results

In 2022-2023 we awarded over $335,000 in grants.

EPAK funded over 500 separate teacher-directed projects across 12 schools in eastern Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. Twenty percent of these grants benefited special needs students.

East Palo Alto Kids salutes our students, educators, and supporters as the school year enters its final weeks. This current school year EPAK granted 416 Teacher grants and 91 New Teacher Grants, totaling over $335k. After a pandemic pause, EPAK Day ‘23 took place at Belle Haven Elementary School in Menlo Park recently. “What an inspiration it was to be guided by fifth-grade children to see how teachers utilize their twice-a-year grants, helping their classroom children to be the very best that they can be.” — Karen Ross, EPAK Board Member and organizer of EPAK Day. ...
